Vertical's ministry was started by worship team members Mike Long (guitar, bass and vocals) and Rickie Pollard (bass, guitar and vocals).  After rehearsals Mike and Rick would stay and jam on guitars which eventually led to songwriting.  Before they knew it they had written five life inspiring songs between the both of them.  Being led to record they were introduce to musician producer songwriter Marc Donner (guitar and vocals). Through those sessions they felt an anointing upon them and did a five song demo which started building Vertical‘s following.  God wasn’t done with them yet and finally added the final piece to the puzzle drummer Gary Lees (drums).   

With the band following the Lords calling and a passion to spread the gospel, they released their debut CD “Stand” in 2006. Whether you’re listening to the title track or the wide diversity and mix that the band has, you’ll be pleased with the message driven lyrics, strong vocal blend blistering guitars and unique drumming style. This is what makes Vertical a well recognized sound that will touch the hearts of the lost and keep the joy here on earth as they sing the praise of our one and only savior Jesus Christ.
